IMPEACHMENT: You are being manipulated

On Tuesday September 24, 2019 U.S. House Speaker Nanci Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. She did so based on the second hand, hearsay reports from a so-called whistleblower claiming Trump pressured the new President of Ukraine to investigated Democratic Presidential candidate and former Vice-President Joe Biden’s involvement and motives in pressuring the previous Ukrainian President to fire a Ukrainian Prosecutor who was investigating alleged corruption in a Ukrainian oil company who happened to have Biden’s son Hunter as a member of their Board of Directors.

It’s pretty clear to fair minded individuals that this impeachment inquiry is pure politics and not based on substance whatsoever. It can’t be coincidence that once Trump knowingly took a step toward one of his biggest campaign themes, to drain the swamp, that Democrats finally went ahead with pursuing impeachment after having threatened to do so for nearly three years, since the day Donald Trump was elected President.

To properly examine this whole story, you have to start at the beginning. And the beginning starts with Hunter Biden. Joe Biden freely admits, in fact, he brags that he pressured Ukraine to fire the Prosecutor that was investigating his son’s company. So there is no argument that Trump’s inquiry into this fact has merit. Democrats argue that Biden’s actions were completely legitimate because the Prosecutor in question was widely believed to be extremely corrupt. The fact that the firing ended the investigation into the oil company, freeing Hunter Biden to profit enormously, was coincidental. Really? Ok. But just remember that making this judgment relies entirely on believing what Joe Biden’s claimed motivation was. Nothing to see here, move along…

The fact is the 49 year old Hunter Biden has been a troubled individual being held up by his powerful father for decades. He’s never done anything on his own to warrant the jobs, positions, and income he’s received. A July 1, 2019 article in the New Yorker Magazine entitled, “Will Hunter Biden Jeopardize His Father’s Campaign?” included these two paragraphs:

“At the same time, the gossip pages have seized on Hunter’s tumultuous private life. He has struggled for decades with alcohol addiction and drug abuse; he went through an acrimonious divorce from his first wife, Kathleen Buhle Biden; and he had a subsequent relationship with (brother Beau Biden) Beau’s widow, Hallie. He was recently sued for child support by an Arkansas woman, Lunden Alexis Roberts, who claims that he is the father of her child. (Hunter has denied having sexual relations with Roberts.)

On May 17th, the day before Hunter planned to appear at one of his father’s rallies, at Eakins Oval, in Philadelphia, Breitbart News published a story based on a Prescott, Arizona, police report from 2016 that named Hunter as the suspect in a possible narcotics offense.”

And Hunter Biden’s problems are not some decades old problems dug up from total obscurity by his father’s political enemies. In 2013 while serving in the Naval Reserve Hunter Biden tested positive for cocaine. He was booted out of the Naval Reserve in 2014 because of that failed drug test.

So helping out his troubled adult kid had nothing to do with Biden’s threat to withhold U.S. funds from Ukraine unless the Ukraine government did as he said? Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.

Did President Trump withhold U.S. military/Defense funds from Ukraine and pressure the Ukrainian President in order to learn some dirt on his political opponent Joe Biden? Yes, I think it’s possible he did. Is that impeachable? Of course, it’s an abuse of power.

But here’s the thing, Trump says that wasn’t his motivation and the transcripts from the phone conversation don’t specifically reveal any instance where Trump threatened Ukraine in any way or specifically expressed a desire to harm Biden or “get” Biden. The transcript instead points to Trump saying during this July 2019 phone call that he wanted to learn more about the whole Biden affair and how it might have led to the Russian Hoax investigation that Democrats Championed for two years as the means by which they would topple his presidency. So, just like Biden, Trump had other motivations for asking for the President of Ukraine’s help. Harming his political opponent, Biden, was just coincidental.

Do you see what I’m saying? The media and Democrats readily agree to believe Biden’s motivation was pure and had nothing to do with saving his troubled son’s ass. They merely take his word for it. Trump had other motivations too. But according to Democrats and the MSM the only reason for the President of the United States to look into possible corruption in our country’s previous Administration was political. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more thick. And let us not forget, Hillary Clinton hired a British spy to gather dirt (or fabricate it) on Donald Trump from powerful Russian sources, allegedly including some in the government. Isn’t this exactly what they are accusing Trump of doing?

Trump isn’t a choir boy. I’m sure he was more than happy to have the side benefit of injuring Biden. But Trump has been harassed and defamed more harshly than any President since Nixon, and probably more than Nixon or anyone else. In spite of it all he has maintained a frenetic Administration hell-bent on keeping his campaign promises. And draining the swamp was a big one. Pelosi, Biden, Obama and the Clintons are powerful people, even now. It is not in any of their interests to allow Trump to look into their dealings. And Trump is getting close. The IG report will come out soon. Indictments could follow. Deals could be made. Secrets could be revealed. Trump’s gotta go. They can’t wait 14 months for an election…that they are increasingly likely to lose.

Democrats Perpetrating Presidential Hoax’s is Nothing New.

We’re placing this video from the January 2012 Republican Presidential debate here for you to watch to be reminded that Democrats perpetrating a hoax on the American people in Presidential election years is nothing new.

In this clip you see former Bill Clinton staffer, ABC News corespondent George Stephanopoulos grill eventual Republican nominee Mitt Romney about the Constitutionality of birth control. In watching the video it should be obvious Romney’s utter confusion as to why the question was being asked. You also see Stephanopoulos refusing to let Romney get away from the question without the ardent Democrat extracting from Romney an admission that the right-to-privacy, as determined by the Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade abortion decision should be overturned.

Stephanopoulos was on a mission. And only in viewing that which followed in the national press does it become clear what his mission was.

It should be noted that not at that time or since has there ever been an effort by Republicans or anyone else to take away a woman’s right to contraception medicines or devices. Which explains why Romney was so stumped by the question and by Stephanopoulos’ ardent pursuit of an answer.

What this question spawned was the Democrats claim of a “War on Women”, which became the overriding theme of President Obama’s campaign against Romney in general and Republicans specifically. It was a lie. It was never true that Republicans were waging a war on women. But the effects of the campaign undoubtedly turned many female voters into Romney haters and helped secure four more years in the White House for a Democratic President that had done very little to deserve re-election.

Fast forward seven years to 2019. At the dawning of the 2020 Presidential campaign Democrats were in high gear touting the alleged conspiracy President Trump and his campaign had partaken in with Russia to win the 2016 campaign against Hillary Clinton. To listen to Democrats and the mainstream media (MSM) Trump’s impeachment was inevitable. He was treasonous, they claimed. Then the Mueller report came out and some air was let out of their balloon. The Mueller report completely exonerated Trump and his campaign on any claim of Russian collusion and said insufficient evidence existed to charge obstruction of justice for a crime it said never took place.

What remaining air was left in their collusion/impeachment balloon disappeared entirely when the report’s author Robert Mueller appeared before Congress and testified in such a way as to make clear he had little hands on involvement in his own report. Subsequently, it became clear that the report exonerating Trump and his staff was put together by Mueller’s investigative staff which was assembled almost entirely of Democratic partisans. And still, they couldn’t pin anything on Trump.

So, the collusion conspiracy lie died suddenly. Its death being fully complete when during the Democratic Presidential debates on CNN not a single moderator asked, and not a single candidate spoke of the Russian allegations against Trump.

So, what’s dominating the news now? Trump is a racist! He’s not only a racist, he’s a white supremacist encouraging white supremacy groups all over the country. The claim is so pervasive that Trump is even being blamed for mass shootings that occurred over this past weekend. The fact is that mass shootings, mental illness and sometimes the hatred that triggers them is an American phenomena dating back decades before Trump ever entered the public eye.

It’s time to make the Democrats pay for the lies that they perpetrate. Though Trump is guilty of incendiary language at times; and though he’s an egotist and a blow-hard his actions as President and long before prove decisively that he is not a racist or white supremacist.

It’s my fervent prayer that the lemmings who vote Democratic election after election will finally see that the party of the KKK and of Jim Crowe and of Socialism is a party hell-bent on power and control and that merely lying about a person’s character is but a small but necessary step in achieving their ultimate goals.

Stop the Hate, Please. Opposition voters are just like those you Love.

When Barrack Obama was re-elected I was dismayed and sad. I honestly couldn’t believe that the majority of Americans fell for the lies the media and his administration were putting out, and they couldn’t look at the condition of our country and want to make a change. I couldn’t understand not electing a kind, high-achieving moderate Republican over a President who had failed to bring the country together, and in fact drove it further apart, and whose economic record proved incapable of pulling us out of a deep recession and probably elongating it.

I did all I could to convey my strong feelings in support of Mitt Romney and in opposition to Barrack Obama. I lost a few friends I suspect who had considerably more liberal views.

But after the election I withdrew from posting any political commentary, articles, memes, etc. I was disgusted and sad and mystified but I kept my mouth shut.

He's the best of our bad choices.

He was the best of our bad choices.

We’re now more than one week from the election of Donald Trump as President. But the hate against him hasn’t stopped. It seems to be growing and it certainly has spread. Now, according to the disappointed Hillary voters, this whole country is RACIST, and Misogynistic, and hateful. Social media is rampant with hateful and arrogant comments.

My response: REALLY? What are you thinking? You think the HATE is coming from our side? REALLY?

Casting aspersions to your Friends and Followers on Facebook and Twitter and elsewhere does nothing to advance the beliefs you claim to aspire toward. Is it correct to say you, the Hillary voter, seek unity, tolerance of different people, races, religions, sexual preferences? Is this tolerance limited to only those who believe like you do? Is this desire for unity a true wish, just as long as we keep the Conservatives and the Bible thumpers, and the “old-fashioned” out?

What I don’t get and refuse to tolerate is the fact that each and every one of us knows and loves and cares for people who vote differently politically. Hard-Right Republicans and/or Conservatives have a brother or a sister or a friend or a wife or a mom or a dad who advocates for Liberal Democratic ideas. Every Left-Wing Socialist loving Democrat loves and cares for and possibly works with another who votes and believes just the opposite.

So why do you want to hurt that person or persons? Why do you want to question their character? If their character is so bad why do you love them? Stop it! Love them as you always have. But recognize, you’re hurting them when you call them racist or hateful. You’re not caring for them when you call them whining, cry babies for not liking the results of the election.

If you love someone who thinks and votes differently than you, why can’t you recognize that others who voted like they did might be just as loving, and sweet, and fun as the person you love. Because…they are.

My Hail Mary for Trump Against Hypocrisy

He's the best of our bad choices.

He’s the best of our bad choices.

This blog will be read by relatively few people in the last day before the 2016 Presidential Election. Many who will or might read this have already voted. All the significant bombshells for or against Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have already been launched. So what’s the point of writing this advocacy for a man so many dislike or even hate? Because the seriousness of this election warrants doing so.

Trump is right about at least one thing in this election campaign. Clinton is likely the most corrupt candidate to ever come this far in a U.S. Presidential election. How about this fact alone: Clinton destroyed over 30-thousand emails after they had been subpoenaed by Congress, with her staff even destroying some devices with hammers. FBI Director James Comey says he wouldn’t recommend prosecution of Clinton because he couldn’t prove intent. What more evidence of intent do you need than intentionally destroying material-evidence after its been subpoenaed? Richard Nixon erased 18 minutes of audio recordings and was forced to resign. Hillary Clinton destroys 30k emails and is elected President. Maybe.

Peter Schweizer is the author of the controversial book “Clinton Cash”. He said it best the other day when he said, “The worst part about Clinton avoiding prosecution is that if she gets away with it other politicians will copy her behavior”. America, is that what you want?

It’s important to acknowledge that a lot of Americans will vote for Clinton not because she is such a prized candidate but because of two specific reasons completely unrelated to her unworthiness. One, she’s a woman and would be the first ever female President.  If you’re in this camp just imagine, for a moment, if you heard someone say “I’m voting for Trump because he’s a man”. Such thinking, either way, is bigoted and non-sensical.

The second reason people vote for Clinton is because they dislike Donald Trump even more. This would be a valid reason if not for Clinton’s total disqualifying characteristics, and if not for the hypocrisy associated with much of the charges leveled against Trump. Let’s look at some of them.

Trump is a womanizer and misogynistAs to hating women, that’s ridiculous. Trump attacks anyone who confronts or disrespects him, male or female. Gender doesn’t matter. He’s an equal opportunity bully, if you will. Trump has hired and promoted dozens of women in his business including hiring a woman to oversee the construction of Trump Tower back in the 80s when hiring a women for such a large construction project had never, NEVER, been done before.

The charges that Trump is a womanizer can hardly be defended. But the hypocrisy in this matter is so thick you could cut it with a knife. It’s not as if Trump would be the first man who fooled around to serve as President. John Kennedy’s sexual exploits have become the subject of legend. Dwight Eisenhower had an affair with his Secretary. Franklin Roosevelt died while in the company of his long time mistress. Warren G. Harding suffered a heart attack and died while having sex with his mistress in the White House! And the King of all hypocrisy is voting for Hillary knowing you also voted for her husband whose affairs were known prior to his election in 1992 and whose dalliance with a 22-year-old intern was known prior to his 1996 re-election. If you voted for Bill Clinton and won’t vote for Trump because of his womanizing you are a hypocrite, period.

The charges that Trump forced a kiss on some women or groped a few others I simply don’t believe. Trump has been a huge public figure for over 30 years with no such charges having ever been levied against him. And suddenly he’s running against the corrupt Clinton Machine and these charges service? Some more than 30 years ago? Until a court of law says otherwise I simply believe these stories are lies or exaggerations. It’s important to note that NONE of these claims were brought forward during the Republican Primary when had they surfaced the nomination would have certainly gone to someone else. No. It wasn’t until it was clear that he was the nominee and that he would face Clinton that we heard anything about Trump mistreating women. I don’t believe them.

Trump won’t release his tax records. The story is this is unprecedented. The story is a lie. While Mitt Romney released his tax records in 2012, he didn’t when he finished second in the nominating process in 2008. Politifact says (not including Romney) seven candidates for President or Vice-President have not released their Federal Tax records since 1976. And that list does not include 1984 Vice-Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro. Ferraro DID release her tax records after Democratic nominee Walter Mondale tapped her to be the first female candidate ever for Vice-President (of a major party). But Ferraro’s husband, John Zaccaro, did not; at least initially. He later gave in to public pressure and released his tax records; and upon having done so had to pay $50,000 in back-taxes.

The fact is Trump is the first Presidential candidate of a major party to be on the general election ballot who is not a politician. He’s a businessman. And despite some assertions to the contrary, use your eyes and your common sense, and anyone can see he is a very successful businessman and has been for decades. The fact that he’s had some business bankruptcies and rebounded from them very successfully only shows that he is a very good businessman. The fact that he had paid little or no Federal Income tax in 20+ years also shows that he’s a very successful businessman or at least has a very good and successful accountant. Do you really think he does his tax himself? Were his tax records in any way unlawful, given his wealth and his prominent public image you can be certain we all would know about it by now especially given how he has taken on Clinton as well as the sitting President Barrack Obama. Do you really think he would avoid prosecution from THIS current Administration were he actually guilty of any crime? Use your head and a tiny bit of common sense. Doing so, you’ll realize the Clinton charges against him are nothing more than political rhetoric, lies, and manipulation.

Trump is a racist. This one is a mystery. This charge, like so many racist calls in modern America, seems to lack any credible evidence. Trump has strongly spoken out against crime. He’s called himself the Law and Justice Candidate. He has spoken out against crime by illegal aliens. He has spoken out against crime in the inner-cities. And he has spoken out against the prevalent white-collar crime that no one denies occurs in and around Washington D.C. and Wall Street. The FACT that much of America’s crime problem (not all of it) emanates from non-white people is not Trump’s fault. And saying so, here in this blog, or as a Presidential candidate is not racist. Once again, I point out that Trump has been a huge national figure for over 30 years. NBC, a network whose liberal, Democratic preferences are as obvious as FOX News’ Conservative, GOP preferences employed Trump for 11 years with his show The Apprentice, until Trump decided to run for President. Do you think he would maintain a slot in their prime-time line-up were it widely known, or even suspected, that he was racist? Puuuuhhhleeeezzz! You are being manipulated.

Trump is not really a Christian. Trump is a sinner. In my faith we understand that we all are. That would include Hillary Clinton, BTW. But Donald Trump committed to God and his Christian faith four years ago. Who are you to question that fact? Why is it endearing for a homeless, thieving, alcohol and drug addict to “find God”, but somehow Trump doing so is unbelievable or hypocritical? If we judge Trump by his words and actions during this campaign versus Hillary, there is no question who the Christian is. Trump is the first politician in my life time to speak of repealing the Johnson Amendment. The Johnson Amendment is named after former President Lyndon Johnson and refers to a change in the U.S. tax code made in 1954 which prohibited religious tax-exempt organizations from endorsing and opposing political candidates. I’ve always felt if our religious leaders can’t “lead” us in discussion of politics and government leaders than our faith and our morals are likewise inhibited. And who can argue that since the Johnson Amendment we haven’t had a diminishing in religious faith and moral values? Trump wants to allow religious leaders to lead. Bravo!

Trump has a bad temperament. Sure he does. But that can be said for many strong, successful individuals. It certainly can be said for Hillary Clinton. It could be said for Harry Truman, whose vulgar curse laden vocabulary was humorous.

Trump doesn’t have political experience. Many believe this is a plus, a positive, and in some case THE single reason to vote for Trump. But if you feel otherwise please consider Abraham Lincoln served only one 2 year term in Congress, and completed that term 11 years prior to becoming President. Woodrow Wilson had even less. He served as a University President in New Jersey. Dwight Eisenhower led the allied forces in World War II, but never served in political office until being elected President in 1952. And Barack Obama was only 2 years into his only term in the U.S. Senate when he decided to seek the Presidency. AND…Obama had ZERO executive experience in politics or business. So quit with this lame argument.

I don’t like Trump. I looked for any viable option or reason to vote against him, and honestly, that included considering voting for Hillary. So while I understand your distaste for voting for him; I honestly believe he is the best of the bad options we’ve been given. Vote, if you haven’t already. But just realize, you have been manipulated and lied to throughout this campaign. Use some common sense and avoid voting for an unrepentant criminal, and vote instead for someone who at least has a chance for Making America Great Again.

Christians and Politics

Clinton trump

Well the conventions are over and done with for another Presidential election cycle. I sure feel a lot more enlightened, don’t you?

I know now that Hillary Clinton is a liar, crooked, corrupt, and has no significant accomplishments in her professional political life.

I am more recently aware of the fact that Donald Trump is a racist, homophobe, anti-Islamic, anti-migrant, and a failed businessman.

The Republican convention and Democrat convention which followed spent most of its time demonizing the opponent in this Fall’s Presidential election. And while I know many who are reading this now will openly and frequently say they HATE Clinton or they HATE Trump or the HATE both of them, I would ask you to consider your faith, or the faith that you claim to possess.

Are the descriptions I wrote about Trump and Clinton accurate? True? Like most people these negative characterizations are possibly true to some people and not true to others. It’s like those grainy cell phone videos of police shootings that we’ve all seen. Maybe half this country see’s police acting irresponsibly and abusing and sometimes killing innocent individuals. Different people seeing the exact same video see a potential criminal suspect resisting arrest and in doing so threatening the law enforcement officers; and in the natural progression of things being man-handled or shot. As much as you see one side, you have to acknowledge that others see the other side. And so we have conflict.

I am not a fan of Trump or Clinton. I don’t think either is nearly as bad as their detractors claim. I don’t know who I’m going to vote for. I’m leaning toward voting for the Libertarian ticket with former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson and his Vice-Presidential nominee former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld.

But as I contemplate my choice and try to sway some toward my way of thinking I am constantly amazed how our “Christian” nation continually forgets the main tenants of our faith. The message from Jesus over and over and over again in our Bible is LOVE.

jesus

We’ve all heard it whether you’re Christian or not, “A new commandment I give you is to Love one another…” John 13:34. It’s important to note that Jesus didn’t say “Love one another…unless the other guy is part of a different political party”. You, of course, will say “but how can I love Hillary, she lies. And her lies offend me”. Fortunately, Jesus once again has you covered. He said, “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” JOHN 8:7. Have you ever lied? Have you lied repeatedly in your life? Have you been caught for doing so? Now…here is the real tough question…have you ever been perpetually in the national spotlight under the hot lamps of scrutiny like Hillary Clinton has been for more than 25 years and lied and been caught? The answer is no. You haven’t. In fact few have in our nations history.

It’s easy to see that Jesus was telling us to not be hypocrites. But he was also telling us not to judge others. Love one another. But again you say, “I can’t love Trump. He is so vulgar. I think he’s a racist”. Well, Jesus hits back at us with Matthew 7:1 “Judge not. Or you will be judged”. Its seems he’s pretty consistent.

And when friends and even family members harangue you for your political affiliations remember what Jesus told Peter about the brother who repeatedly did wrong. Peter asked Jesus how many times should I forgive him? Seven times? Christ again demonstrates his endless capacity for love and responds, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:22. (That’s 490 times for the math challenged. Though I doubt Jesus was being literal)

Forgetting what our faith teaches us over and over and over and over again in this life…happens. It happens when Democrats advocate for a woman’s right to choose an abortion at any time in a pregnancy. Their forgetting that another’s life is what’s being chosen. And what does the Bible say about that? Well there’s Exodus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 5:17.  But Jesus himself said it as well,“You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony” Matthew 19:18. In fairness a lot of Republicans advocate for abortion as well. If Christian, they too have forgotten, or chosen to ignore what else Jesus said, “You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.” Matthew 5:21. And again, Republicans and Democrats are constantly forgetting the LOVE commandment with angry retorts to whatever the other says. The very next verse applies to all of us, Matthew 5:22.

Never in the history of Presidential elections have two more agitating and controversial candidates vied for the most power job in the world. And instead of the best they each seem to bring out the worst in our fellow Americans; which is good enough reason for me to seriously consider Gary Johnson. But it’s my prayer that we can all quickly realize, if you’re Christian, remember your faith’s teaching! The Bible, and Jesus doesn’t call them teachings. He calls them commandments! Or if you’re Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Agnostic, or Atheist we’re all Americans and above that we’re all humans. Life for you and your neighbors will be so much better if we disagree, agreeably, and remember to LOVE one another. “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” Mark 12:31
